This is also my view on life in general ... not just fighting. Instead of looking at your surroundings and the things in them in light of "what was this thing/place designed to do/be and do i need to use it now" one should view thier world and things in it in this light, "can this place/thing help me to achieve my purpose right now, what can I DO with this thing/place to aid me, in spite of what it is supposed to be/do."

Take a screwdriver for instance, it's very name states it's sole intended purpose, to instal and remove screws. Now that same screwdriver can be used as a prybar, to open paint cans, to replace the broken power button on my TV, driven into a tree as a peg to hold a lantern, used as a replacement for a knife in a fight, and too many other things to list all here.

If you understand the screwdriver example then you can just substitute any object in place of the screwdriver to demonstrate my view on life.

May the Old Masters never be forgotten.
